*The initial financial plan fee ranges from $1,000 to $3,000, depending on the complexity of your financial situation. All fees will be outlined following the consultation. A 50% deposit is required upfront, with the remaining 50% due upon delivery of the completed financial plan.
*After the initial financial plan is completed, ongoing fees are applied based on invested assets under management (AUM). AUM based fees are billed quarterly in arrears and are calculated on a marginal tiered basis, which means different portions of your portfolio are billed at different rates according to the fee schedule. The AUM schedule applies to the total value of all individually managed accounts per household. Employer-sponsored retirement plans are typically excluded unless explicitly managed by Murray Strategic Investment LLC.

FAQ
What is included in Assets Under Management (AUM)? AUM includes the total market value of the investments we manage on your behalf. This typically includes brokerage accounts, IRAs, taxable investment accounts, and other assets under our direct advisory management. However, it does not include external accounts we do not directly manage, such as held-away 401(k)s or real estate holdings.
Do you manage my 401(k)? While we do not take direct control of employer-sponsored retirement accounts like 401(k)s, we provide guidance on asset allocation, investment selection, and overall portfolio strategy to ensure these accounts align with your broader financial plan. If your plan allows for third-party management, we can discuss integration options. Additionally, if you are considering rolling over your 401(k) after leaving an employer, we can help evaluate your options and determine whether a rollover into an IRA or another plan is in your best interest.
What Broker do you use? We use Altruist Financial LLC, an unaffiliated SEC-registered broker-dealer, as our preferred custodian/broker for client investment accounts. Altruist offers a low-cost, transparent custodial platform that simplifies account management and trading for Murray Strategic Investment LLC clients. Opening accounts and/or transferring your assets to Altruist is fast, easy, and secure. Alternatively, if you have an existing relationship with another brokerage such as Schwab, Fidelity, Ameriprise, etc., most firms offer a Limited Trading Authorization (LTA) or Read-Only Access feature that allows advisors to manage investments without taking custody of your assets. This means we can provide strategic investment guidance and execute trades within your account while you retain full ownership and control.
Who makes the final decision on my investments? You decide how your investments are managed. For non-discretionary accounts, we place trades on your behalf but only after receiving your approval. For discretionary accounts, you authorize us to make investment decisions and execute trades in line with your agreed-upon strategy. Regardless of your choice, we prioritize transparency and keep you informed throughout the process.
Are there any other fees besides your advisory fee? Our advisory fee covers the services we provide, including financial planning and investment management. However, there may be additional third-party fees that we do not control, such as brokerage account fees, fund expense ratios, and transaction costs charged by custodians or investment providers. These fees are separate from our advisory fee and are typically disclosed by your brokerage or fund provider. We always strive to recommend cost-effective investment options and will help you understand any external fees associated with your portfolio.
Do you take custody of my assets? No, we do not take direct custody of client assets. Your accounts remain in your name and are held at a third-party brokerage custodian. This ensures transparency and security, as we only have Limited Trading Authorization (LTA) to manage investments within your accounts.
Can I receive Investment Management only? Investment decisions impact every area of your financial life, retirement, taxes, cash flow, and estate planning. Managing investments without a financial plan is like driving without a destination. That’s why our approach always includes financial planning as a foundation. However, under certain conditions, we may be able make an exception.
